News: Michael McIntyre, Katherine Ryan, Frank Skinner, Russell Kane Top Mental Health Bill

Michael McIntyre, Katherine Ryan, Frank Skinner and Russell Kane are some of the major acts appearing at the Heads Together Comedy Night for children’s mental health charity YoungMinds.

Also appearing are Harry Hill, Tommy Tiernan and Jimmy Carr. The one-off gig takes place at the Shepherds Bush Empire on September 18.

Since its launch in May 2016, and with the support of celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Andrew Flintoff and Professor Green, Heads Together has had a huge impact in getting the country talking about mental health, and in challenging the stigma that so often prevents people from taking that first step towards getting help. Heads Together was the Charity of the Year for the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon, where thousands of runners wore headbands making it the ‘Mental Health Marathon’ in support of the campaign.

Frank Skinner said: "Like most people, I like to imagine growing-up as a carefree and wondrous experience. The truth can be a lot more complicated than that. My own youth was blighted by the threat of Napoleonic invasion so I know what I'm talking about. But seriously, I'm proud to be part of this benefit night. Those very real growing-pains need to be openly accepted and talked about. Then the carefree wonder will take care of itself."

Tickets for Heads Together Comedy Night for YoungMinds go on sale at 12pm on Wednesday 7th June 2017. Visit www.ticketmaster.co.uk to purchase.
