There may be a spin-off of Big Bang Theory which goes back in time.

According to the Hollywood Reporter there are discussions about homing in on the early life of Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parsons. The report says that Parsons is the only cast member involved. Big Bang Theory co-creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady and showrunner Steve Molaro will oversee the project.
