Interview: Rarely Asked Questions – Milton Jones: Page 2 of 2

6. What do your parents/children (delete as applicable) think of your job?

They all think I've done well in the circumstances. Although they only seem to laugh at my jokes when they want tickets for things.

7. What’s the worst thing about being a comedian?

The pressure to constantly be amusing.

 8. I think you are very good at what you do (that’s why I’m asking these questions). What do you think of you?

Can't believe I'm getting away with it to be honest.

 9. How much do you earn and how much would you like to earn?

There's never enough is there. And I would love to feed the poor. Oh when will there be a Harvester for the world?

10. How important is luck in terms of career success – have you had lucky breaks?

I think you make your own luck. But not with electricity and water, it turns out.

11. Alan Davies has said that comedians fall into two categories - golfers and self-harmers. The former just get on with life, the latter are tortured artists. Which are you – or do you think you fit into a third category?

I am more of a caddy. I know exactly what to use for each audience. And I am full of tea.

12. Who is your favourite person ever and why – not including family or friends or other comedians?

Admiral Nelson. Even if his last words were 'Whatever you do don't put me on a pedestal'

13. Do you keep your drawers tidy and if not why not

Yes they each have their own allocated place inside my wardrobe.
