Comedian James Loveridge has released shocking footage of an incident at a comedy club where an audience member threw a glass at the stage while he was performing.

The incident happened at the Top Secret Comedy Club last autum, but Loveridge has just released it, having edited together silent CCTV footage and some audio of the incident recorded on a phone.

During the clip one can see the initial exchange between Loveridge and the audience member who threw his drink at the comic. The member of the public was then being escorted out and a figure can be seen grabbing a glass and hurling it with force at the stage from the back of the room. 

The police were called but according to the clip they said that as nobody had been hit no crime had been committed.

The punter appears to have become annoyed during an argument with Loveridge over which part of Essex was better.
