
The award winners at this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival have been announced. Zoe Coombs Marr won the biggest prize, the prestigious Barry Award, for her show Trigger Warning.
The other nominees were Luisa Omielan, Damien Power, David O’Doherty, Rhys Nicholson, Tom Ballard and Anne Edmonds .
Australian performer Coombs Marr , who plays a politically incorrect male comic Dave in her latest show, also won the Golden Gibbo Award, which is given to “a local, independent show that pursues the artist’s idea more strongly than it pursues any commercial lure”. The other nominees were Peter & Bambi (Asher Treleaven & Gypsy Wood), Lessons with Luis and Tommy Dassalo.

Funny Tonne Winner (for doing the most shows during the Festival): Jeremy McPerson – 164 shows.
