A number of high profile comedians are due to appear in the British version of Lip Sync Battle. Among the names already mentioned are Jason Manford, Katherine Ryan, David Walliams, Johnny Vegas, Kayvan Novak and Vic Reeves.

The show is hosted by Mel B and Professor Green and in the first edition, which goes out on Five on January 8, David Walliams will be going head-to-head with Alesha Dixon.

The concept first started life on Jimmy Fallon's chat show when Stephen Merchant mimed to Boom Shake The Room and Single Ladies and took on Fallon and Joseph Gordon Levitt. Merchant then created a series with John KrasinskI and Emily Blunt.
