News: Greg Davies, Katherine Ryan, Jon Richardson Play Darts For Sport Relief

Katherine Ryan

Comedians Greg Davies, Jon Richardson & Katherine Ryan are among the first names to be confirmed for this year’s Let’s Play Darts for Sport Relief. They will be joined by sporting legends Mike Tindall and Robbie Savage. Lee Mack won the competition last year.

The star-studded event, hosted by Gabby Logan, will see the biggest names in the world of darts join forces with the nation’s favourite comedians and celebrities for a special pro-celebrity darts tournament – all in aid of Sport Relief.

Each celebrity will adopt their own darts persona, complete with nickname, costume, props and the all-important walk on music.

They’ll partner with star players from the BDO including Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams, Glen ‘Duzza’ Durrant, Scott ‘Scotty Dog’ Mitchell, Deta ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Hedman, Bobby ‘King of Darts’ George, Anastasia ‘From Russia With Love’ Dobromyslova, Darryl ‘The Dazzler’ Fitton and Andy ‘The Viking’ Fordham to compete for the coveted title – currently held by last year’s champs Lee Mack and Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams.

Filming takes place on 17th and 18th November at Lakeside Frimley Green - the home of world darts and tickets are available via www.lakesidesurrey.co.uk  Over 18’s only.

All net proceeds from ticket sales will go to Sport Relief (after VAT and admin fees) and will be spent giving extremely vulnerable and disadvantaged people a helping hand to turn their lives around. Half is used to make a difference, right here at home, in the UK. The other half goes towards transforming lives across the world's poorest communities.

Let’s Play Darts for Sport Relief will air on BBC2 next year.
