Bolton comedian Sophie Willan has been crowned winner of the inaugural Magners New Act of the Year. The final took place at the Greenwich Comedy Festival where it was the closing gig of the five-night event. 

The full line-up of the final was Lolly Adefope, George Rigden, Ingrid Dahle, Sophie Willan, Chris Washington and Benji Waterstones.

Willan wins a £1000 cash prize.
