Next Taskmaster Date Revealed

Next Taskmaster Date Revealed

The Taskmaster Greg Davies and his assistant Alex Horne are back on their respective thrones as the BAFTA and Rose D’Or winning Taskmaster returns with its highly anticipated 21st series which launches at 9pm on Thursday 9th April on Channel 4 and 10pm BST/5pm EST/2pm PST on the Taskmaster YouTube Channel across the rest of the world.

The lure of claiming the fabled Taskmaster trophy has attracted five more comics to participate in the fun and games. They are: Amy Gledhill, Armando Iannucci, Joanna Page, Joel Dommett and Kumail Nanjiani. Like so many before them, they believe they can impress the Taskmaster - but only one will be immortalised as the 21st Taskmaster Champion.

Over ten episodes we’ll see them take on a series of ludicrous tasks and be judged by Greg, who will dish out points according to competence and skill. At the heart of everything is Little Alex Horne, expertly administrating every task and willingly involving himself where needed. He is Greg’s eyes on the ground and those eyes have seen some astonishing things this series.

The Taskmaster YouTube channel has seen huge success internationally, particularly in North America, reaching over 14.4 billion impressions since it first launched in October 2019, with just over 1.4 billion views and over 2.1 million subscribers. The channel has had over 289 million hours’ worth of content viewed, with an 85% increase in North American viewership year on year, with over 174 million views from North America and 270k new subscribers from North America in 2025 alone.

Elsewhere, this year saw the first ever live version of the show with Taskmaster Live On Stage which toured to the East Coast of America in January 2026. The most coveted prize in television (and the world), the golden head of the Taskmaster, went on the move and up for grabs, bringing the hit show’s chaos to Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and New York. Tickets entirely sold out within 13 minutes, and Greg Davies and Little Alex Horne were joined by the likes of Jason Mantzoukas, John Oliver and Seth Meyers as special guest contestants.

Season 21 will premier on Thursday 9th April at 9pm BST on Channel 4 and then air worldwide at 10pm BST/5pm EST/2pm PST on the Taskmaster YouTube Channel
