Mock the Week Returns

Mock the Week Returns

Mock the Week is to return with a new series, launching Sunday 1st February at 9pm on TLC, which is now free-to-air in the UK. Once again it will be hosted by Dara Ó Briain. The witty, fast-paced, satirical panel show that turns the week’s news into comedy gold will now feature hour-long episodes packed full of jokes and the chaotic energy fans know and love.

Joining Dara in the studio throughout the new series, is a stellar line-up of top comedy talent, including Rhys James, Sara Pascoe, Angela Barnes, Ed Byrne, Ahir Shah, Milton Jones, Katherine Ryan, Hugh Dennis, Sarah Keyworth, Lou Sanders, Glenn Moore, Ellie Taylor and Russell Howard – with more names still to be announced.

The new series stays true to the classic Mock the Week format, featuring iconic rounds such as If This Is the Answer, What Is the Question?, Wheel of News, Picture of the Week and the legendary Scenes We’d Like to See. But fans can also look forward to brand-new rounds, created especially for the expanded 60-minute format, giving even more room for bold jokes and unexpected twists.

Dara Ó Briain said: “I’m genuinely delighted to be back doing Mock the Week and on TLC. From what I remember, it’s a show that thrives on silly jokes from smart people and any actual insight is purely accidental. Also, from what I remember, my job was mainly just pressing a buzzer and handing out imaginary points. I can still do that. Here, have some imaginary points! That's how easy it is. Also, it's coming back just in time to confuse people who had only just heard it had been cancelled. See you there!”

Produced by Angst Productions, the nine-episode series brings fans everything they loved about Mock the Week..and more of it.

Mock the Week is part of a bumper 2026 TLC schedule.
