One of Britain’s most potent joke machines, Gary Delaney is going on tour. His last tour ran for 378 dates – more live shows than Nirvana, for example, did in their entire career – across an incredible two and a half-year span, breaking his own record of 324. For a long time a ‘Mock the Week’ and word-of-mouth sensation, Gary has seen his renown as a one-liner merchant explode across hundreds of millions of video views and an astonishingly prolific live career. (Even the title of this new show is a pun, if you look very carefully.)
With a heaving hamper of brand-new jokes this unstoppable mirth merchant returns. Once more he will exhaust laughter muscles and batter delicate sensibilities (do not bring the children, or anyone prone to getting their knickers in a twist). As always, there will be funnies and filth in roughly equal measure. And, as before, he will not stop until every last one of you in this country has come to see him. If that means another 378 dates, so be it.
So be one of the first to hear Gary’s new gold before it’s the stuff of pub conversations and office memes all over again. You’ll ‘gary’ on laughing for a long time to come (have you worked out the joke yet?)
