Comedian Releases Special On Instagram Reels
Nathan Cassidy’s show ‘It’s Not The End Of The World’ (his second 2025 Special) has been released on Youtube as well as on 36 consecutive Instagram reels on Nathan’s instagram account. The special was filmed at The Bill Murray in London in September. In the show, Nathan promises a stand-up hour full of bite, wrath, and who knows a sliver of hope - with no sad bits, until the final devastating minute.
Cassidy says: ‘I’m immensely proud of this show. It was my most difficult show to write to date as it all builds up to something very, very upsetting. I couldn’t work out where to put this bit, as it often makes people howl with tears, including me! So… I put it in the last minute. Saving it until the final moment of the show I could make a joke out of how sad it is somehow. The show is also in some sense about Dory, the character from the Pixar films, and I know Dory would appreciate me releasing the special in bite size chunks on Instagram reels first. It’s the natural next step in sharing comedy online - everyone else is doing crowd-work clips, now let’s release full Specials this way. Of course if Instagram reels isn’t your thing, you can just watch the whole thing in one chunk on YouTube, or on VHS if you’re really that ancient.'
Nathan Cassidy has won or been nominated for thirteen comedy awards in the last six years including Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2020, Off West End Stage Awards Nominee 2021, and Best Stand-up Winner Brighton Fringe 2022/23. This year he won best ongoing comedian at the Pegasus Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe. He has multiple appearances on BBC Radio 5 Live and Times Radio and a million downloaded podcast Daily Notes. He is also the founder of the ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

Comedian and ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards founder Nathan Cassidy is taking his acclaimed and Award-winning show ‘Observational' on a European tour in October and November, taking in the Netherlands, Brussels, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Spain. The show is a story about Nathan joining a gym and meeting a personal trainer who changes his life forever. Nathan Cassidy says: ’This is a show that remains close to my heart, and many people have asked for a new tour, so although I don’t usually bring something back, here it is making a slight return. This show changed the way I thought about hour comedy shows, in that now they not only have to be funny, but also uplifting, and if I can manage it, magical. It’s hard to match the magical ending of Observational, remembering what it does to audiences I just had to resurrect it. So after performances around the UK and in Ireland and Germany I’m excited to be touring it to more places around Europe in the Autumn.’
