News: Daniel Kitson To Perform at Edinburgh Fringe

Polyphony

Update 20/5/15. It has now been confirmed that Daniel Kitson will be performing Polyphony in Edinburgh this summer from August 7 - 30 at the new Roundabout venue at 12.15pm. Tickets from the Edinburgh Fringe website are now gone, but more tickets will be released by Summerhall here on June 4.

Daniel Kitson is planning to perform his latest solo play, Polyphony, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer.

Dates and venue have not been officially announced yet but he has told his audience that this is his intention. He has performed his previous plays at the Traverse Theatre, which is yet to announce its Edinburgh Fringe programme.

Polyphony is currently being staged at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where it is receiving the usual rave reviews from audiences and critics alike, despite some early technical issues – the performance involves 20 machines which play pre-recorded dialogue and are controlled by the audience, who need to start them all at exactly the same time.

After Melbourne, Polyphony goes to Adelaide, Wellington, Auckland, Sydney and Perth.

Daniel Kitson will also be doing stand-up at the annual Resofit benefit at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London on June 15 with Stewart Lee. Tickets here.
