Comics Have A Second Crack At Mount Everest

A group of stand-up comedians is going to attempt to perform a gig on the world’s highest mountain in October 2015. This follows plans to do the Everest gig last year, which had to be postponed.

Among those confirmed for the gig of a lifetime are Tommy Tiernan, Glenn Wool, Craig Campbell, Rhys Darby and Stewart Francis. If they succeed they hope to get into the Guinness Book of Records for the highest ever comedy show.

Money raised will go to the Save The Children Fund. There will also be an opportunity for some fans to join them on the 9-day trek in Nepal’s Himalaya mountain range. The gig will be at base camp and not at the very top of Everest.
