What do your parents/children (delete as applicable) think of your job?
My Mum loved it, she was very happy it made me so happy.
What's the worst thing about being a comedian?
The admin, I hate the admin. And adrenal fatigue. That gigging every night comes at a cost and its great, but the adrenaline spikes, the ups and downs over the years annihilate your nervous system. And that its totally put me off going out on a Friday or Saturday night.
I think you are very good at what you do (that's why I'm asking these questions). What do you think of you?
I think I'm capable of being great; I think being rubbish and bombing is a constant part of it. I struggle a lot with the business side of it as I have to do all the admin as well as write and perform. I think if I could just focus on the shows that would be a dream, I enjoy building a team I trust.
How much do you earn and how much would you like to earn?
Not enough. And millions.
How important is luck in terms of career success – have you had lucky breaks?
No. I think I had tenacity. I think I am lucky that I found comedy from such a young age, and that has helped shape and navigate my life.
Alan Davies has said that comedians fall into two categories – golfers and self-harmers. The former just get on with life, and the latter are tortured artists. Which are you – or do you think you fit into third category?

Who is your favourite person ever and why – not including family or friends or other comedians?
Does Bernie count? My Bernese mountain dog, she often comes on stage with me for shows. She is my favourite living thing.
Do you keep your drawers tidy and if not why not? (please think long and hard about this question; it's to settle an argument with my girlfriend. The future of our relationship could depend on your response).
Yes, I find when they are not organised, I'm not organised and I feel unhappy. When everything is folded properly, and in its correct drawer, life just gets better.
