IcklewickFM is a brand new improvised sitcom from comedians Amy Gledhill (House of Games) and Chris Cantrill (Alma's Not Normal), together they are cult double act The Delightful Sausage.

Unashamedly regional and more than a little mucky, IcklewickFM is premiering on BBC Radio 4 on 23rd January at 11pm. Episodes will then be released in BBC Sounds shortly afterwards.

Produced by Ben Sutton for Daddy's Superyacht, the six episodes tell the story of a post-industrial everytown and its eccentric inhabitants via the switchboard of Icklewick’s highly dysfunctional community radio station.

Amy and Chris are IcklewickFM’s never off air co-hosts, Mark Silcox plays Mr Patel, their inept producer and Colin Hoult is Simon Toke, IcklewickFM's ADHD-riddled roving reporter who is never, ever where he’s meant to be. They're joined by an eclectic bunch of local residents brought to life by the gold-top cream of the UK comedy scene including Lucy Beaumont, Steen Raskopoulos, Jen Brister, Alex Lowe, Barbara Nice, Edinburgh Award nominee Phil Ellis, Shivani Thussu, plus some super-secret mind-blowing cameos.

Series co-creator Chris Cantrill says: “We’re really proud of this show and are so thankful to the BBC for trusting us to make summat a bit different. We recorded over 24 hours of audio for this series which we’ve had to whittle down to 2 and a half!”

Fellow co-creator Amy Gledhills adds: “We've had such a laugh working with our comedy heroes to bring our strange little town to life. The sound design is also wild making for an unforgettable listen! Buckle up!”

IcklewickFM was jointly commissioned by BBC TV and Radio with the intention of initially developing the format and characters through audio, with the potential for a TV version in future
