News: Goodness Gracious Me Returns For One More One-Off

Goodness Gracious Me’s Sanjeev Bhaskar has confirmed that the cast will be reuniting for another special edition of the acclaimed British-Asian sketch show. Earlier today he tweeted “Scripts being written, filming in March, broadcast later this year #kissmychuddies”.

This follows the successful reunion last year when the team, including Kulvinder Ghir, Meera Syal, Dave Lamb and Nina Wadia, got back together for a show to mark the fiftieth birthday of BBC2.

The series first went out on Radio 4 before transferring to BBC2 for three series. It won the Best Entertainment prize at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards in 1999 and the show’s most famous sketch, “Going for an English” was voted 6th Greatest Comedy Sketch in a Channel 4 poll in 2008.
