Comedy Tonight New Act Of the Year Finalists

Comedy Tonight presents the first annual Comedy Tonight New Act of The Year at The Albany Great Portland Street on September 10th at 4pm. 

Come and see 10 of the UK’s fastest rising new stand up talents battle it out to be crowned the first ever New Act of The Year.

Competing in the final are Ella Gonzalez (BCG talent award 2022), Ibs Sesay (Max Turner Finalist), Alvin Liu (King Gong Winner), Fin Jacobs(Beat The Frog Winner), Shawn Uyosa (BBC new act nominee, Ireland Best New Act 2020), Wes Defoe, Andrew Dipple, Louis McClean (King Gong Winner), Ayla Moore, Mollie Ehrman and Holly Ludlow. 

MCing the final is Luke Hall with guest spots from Su Mi (BBC New Comedy Awards Regional Finalist, West End New Act of the year finalist 2023, Beat the Frog 2022 Winner) and TikTok and Instagram star Evaldas Karosas. 

The panel of judges includesLiam Pape, Producer at West End Comedy Club and other figures from within the comedy world. 

The winner will receive a cash prize as well as a paid spot at The West End Comedy Club. 

Comedy Tonight is a new Female led London Based Comedy Startup with International connections aiming to use their knowledge of Comedy, business and technology to help develop London’s Comedy Circuit with a mission to create opportunities for development of new acts with a focus on creating space for acts from underrepresented backgrounds.

The first phase of this is the New Act of The Year Competition as well as working to develop one of London’s most talked about new Open Mic nights at The Distillers in Hammersmith. Follow Comedy Tonight on Instagram @ComedyTonightCo for more developments.
