Rosie Jones To Front Game Show

Rosie Jones Tops Fundraising Line-Up

Comedy Central UK has greenlit a new gameshow, Out Of Order. Hosted by comedian Rosie Jones, the series will begin filming in Autumn, before premiering on the channel next year.

The game, produced by Rumpus Media, sees two teams of comedians compete, in front of a studio audience, to place members of the public in the correct order in a series of revealing categories such as, ‘Who earns the most?’ and ‘Who’s had the most one night stands?’

Comedy Central and Rumpus Media have also partnered to run a training scheme as part of the series’ production. Aimed at anyone over the age of 18 in the UK, people from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.

“Having worked with Rosie on her hit Comedy Central shortform series, ‘Rosie Tries To Help’, we’re delighted to be strengthening our partnership with her on Out of Order. With Rosie at the helm, this funny, unpredictable and warm-hearted new format is sure to entertain our global audiences.” Said Luke Hales, SVP of MTVE Content and Brand Strategy, UK, Australia and Canada. “We’re also really pleased to be offering production training opportunities as part of this show. As a brand, and as part of the wider industry, it’s important that we intentionally create opportunities like this to ultimately foster an open, inclusive production ecosystem.”

“Every legend knows that Comedy Central is the home of all things funny, so I’m over the bloody moon to be working with the team again. This show packs a huge dose of hilariousness and chaos and I can’t wait for people to see it!” Said Rosie Jones, host of Out of Order. “What’s more, I’m thrilled to be working with Comedy Central and Rumpus Media to create an exciting, disability-positive production environment via our Out Of Order training initiative – this is a cause close to my heart and I absolutely encourage anybody eligible to apply.”

Iain Wimbush, Rumpus Media’s joint MD, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be working with Rosie Jones on this brand-new series that promises a fresh take on the comedy gameshow and will be a lot of fun to watch. Inclusivity is at the very heart of the programmes Rumpus makes and we are passionate about investing in new talent. The trainee scheme announced today with Rosie and Comedy Central welcomes those from different backgrounds and abilities, in the hope this will introduce new people to an industry they have traditionally been locked out of.”
