Musical comedian Bennet Kavanagh teased Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden during his appearance on the show this week.
Kavanagh has already made waves on the comedy circuit, being a finalist in the Beat The Frog competition, bagging third place in the Musical Comedy Awards and winning the Starter Level award at the British Comedy Guide BCG Pro Performance Awards 2020. He was also winner of Bath Comedy Festival’s New Act Competition (2021).
But on the primtime show things looked very bad for Kavanagh when he was buzzed off very quickly by Bruno and Alesha, almost as soon as he revealed his keyboards. When Amanda buzzed him off after a lyric about an Uber he teased her by joking that "an Uber is like a chauffeur".
Simon Cowell, who is not known for his love of comedy, however, did like Kavanagh, saying "actually it was very funny....you made me laugh."
