"What is the last thing you do before you go onstage (apart from check your flies and/or check your knickers aren't sticking out of your skirt and check for spinach between your teeth)

I stand in the dark, close my eyes and I remind myself, "you haven't made bad life choices Laura - this was literally your only option."

What irritates you?

When people interrupt me when I'm talk-sorry- no, you go...

What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?

I once visited a friend in Louisiana and while she was working, her boyfriend was meant to be showing me around the sites. He took me out to an abandoned warehouse on a dock, so he could spray-paint some (bad) street art. We had to cross a huge, rusty bridge (which was more parts paint than structural integrity) to get to the crumbling warehouse and I'm pretty sure both being there and the graffiti were illegal. I don't know how the Louisiana Police Department would have reacted to a bumbling British tourist if we'd been caught there.

What is the most stupid thing you have ever done?

Hamlet

What has surprised you the most during your career in comedy?

I'm always surprised by comedians who can drink before (or on) the stage and smash it. After half a wine, my brain turns into a Judy Garland tribute act.
