Richard Osman's House of Games – This Week'Guests

Make the most of this week's House of Games. It looks like the five episodes featuring Mike Bubbins, Kirsten O’Brien, Christine Ohuruogu and Kai Widdrington are the last ones in the current series.

So it's left to Mike Bubbins to fly the flag for stand-up comedy. The Welshman with the luxurious Des Lynam moustache is also on tour, his dates are here. Bubbins may also be familiar to TV viewers for the comedy pilot that went out a while back called Mammoth and he also appeared in the comedies Tourist Trap and The Unexplainers. Bubbins is also co-host of hit podcast The Socially Distant Sports Bar with Elis James.

Actually Bubbins is not quite the only comedy person on the panel. Kirsten O'Brien is best known as a children's TV presenter, often with Otis the Aardvark, but she also did stand-up for a while. I've even got a dim and distant memory of O'Brien doing a show about her children's TV career at the Edinburgh Festival which went behind the scenes and told some scurrilous tales of what the squeaky clean presenters really got up to.

(editor's note - my mind isn't playing tricks, I just checked wikipedia and in August 2006 O'Brien "appeared in a show at the Edinburgh Fringe, entitled Lesley's Lunch Hour - Not During Lunch, And Not Quite An Hour along with double act partner Ruth Bratt. And in 2007 she took her comedy show Kirsten O'Brien - Confessions of a Children's TV Presenter to Edinburgh").

Also appearing on this week's run of House of Games shows are Christine Ohuruogu, the British former track and field athlete who specialised in the 400 metres; and dancer and choreographer and former Junior World Latin American champion Kai Widdrington.
