Nick Helm To Front New Film Quiz Podcast

The team behind the award-winning Film Stories podcast is launching a brand new show ‘The Film Quiz’, hosted by Nick Helm and in association with their chums at whynow.

Each episode will bring together familiar faces from the world of comedy who will battle it out in a series of varied rounds to see who knows their Nakatomi Plaza from their Glass Tower.

The Film Stories podcast was launched in June 2018 by Simon Brew, after leaving Den of Geek. It spawned a monthly independent film magazine of the same name, and the team has also branched into live events.

whynow is a digital publisher, podcast and production studio, fuelled by a passion for British arts, music and culture. Other podcasts in their stable include Having Words With Susie Dent, and Strokes of Country. The Film Quiz will bring something completely different to the portfolio, and compliments the content covered by the editorial team.

Simon Brew, Editor & Founder of Film Stories said: "A second Film Stories podcast was always going to have to be a little bit different - and after a lot of work, I'm really looking forward to bringing The Film Quiz to life. And Nick Helm too! Let the movie mayhem begin..."

Howard Cohen, Producer of The Film Quiz said: “People love movie trivia and Nick is one of the most knowledgeable guys I’ve ever met when it comes to film. This podcast will be a perfect match for listeners to have a laugh and play along to.”

Recordings for the show are taking place on 4th and 11th July at 21 Soho in front of a live studio audience. Tickets are free and can be reserved on Eventbrite.

Nick Helm has also recently announced his brand new show What Have We Become? Details here.
