Rosie Jones' moving storyline concludes on Casualty this evening (Saturday, April 9).

Jones tweeted: "Tonight we see Paula’s conclusion on @BBCCasualty. I feel quite emotional. I have absolutely loved playing Paula. She’s feisty, strong and determined to fight for her baby. I feel honoured to be part of such an important storyline. I hope you’ve enjoyed watching her journey."

Fans paid tribute to Jones' moving performance. MarionDocherty tweeted: "Love watching u on casualty, it's been really emotional and u have been so good, hope u get many more parts u are an inspiration, go Rosie."

Mrianne Howell tweeted: "You have proved that comedians are often very good at dramatic parts. It's been heart-rending. Thank you. Now go and have a laugh!"

Mark Cunningham tweeted: "You have been amazing Rosie. It has been a really powerful performance. I look forward to seeing you in much more."

Angela Brban tweeted: "You have been a pleasure to watch fighting for your rights as a mum."

It is a busy time for Jones at the moment. She has three new commissions for Channel 4. Travel series Trip Hazard is back for a second series, in a one-off, as yet untitled, documentary, Rosie explores society’s attitudes towards disabled people and she is also hosting Dine Hard, an all-new comedy, chat and cooking five-part digital series produced by Rockerdale Studios.
