This week on The Jonathan Ross Show, Jonathan is joined by children's author and comedian David Walliams, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, the always fascinating Louis Theroux, as well as Hollywood superstar Kevin Hart via zoom. Plus, the first band to get seven consecutive number 1s in the UK, Westlife, will be chatting and performing.

David Walliams has become best known as a best-selling children's author but his roots are firmly in comedy. I wonder if Jonathan Ross will be asking him about the on-off rumours of a Little Britain reunion. While the programme has been controversial in recent years because of its protrayal of women and people of colour for example, there has been talk that the show might return in some form. If Walliams and Matt Lucas can find the time that is.

Accoding to a report in the Mirror, David told the Daily Star : "It is still very much on the cards but the pandemic and other things have caused us problems with meeting up and writing. Matt was working over summer because he does Bake Off and has to stay in a hotel and isn’t allowed out."

"He couldn’t even come to my birthday party. Then I was busy and next thing he is filming for the new Willy Wonka movie. I notice I wasn’t asked to be in it! We will get together at some point but we will have to see what happens."

It will be a different show this time round if it happens. They have both issued statements apologising for performing in blackface. Walliams said: ""Matt & I have both spoken publicly in recent years of our regret that we played characters of other races. Once again we want to make it clear that it was wrong & we are very sorry."

Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins recently reunited for the Sky comedy Hitmen Reloaded in which they played a pair of professional assassins and got to bump off a different villain each week.
