Comedy club Shoe Cake Comedy & The Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds are putting on a three day comedy event on Oct 8 - Oct 10 in Leeds.

 

The Last Stop To Edinburgh Comedy Festival runs from Friday Oct 8th to Sunday October 10th. 

 

The Last Stop To Edinburgh Festival consists of ten Edinburgh Fringe style 60 minute shows and will be held in two glorious performance spaces across three days within the Carriageworks Theatre. In Addition to the ten one hour shows there will also be a full nationwide tour show from popular international TV comedian Loyiso Gola. 

 

The festival will feature new shows, work in progress shows, daytime family shows, and ready to tour shows featuring a wide variety of different acts, some of which have previously appeared on Live at The Apollo, Never mind the Buzzcocks, RuPauls Drag Race, Netflix, and Britain’s Got Talent. There will also be shows from festival favourites, multi award winners, and local performers too.

6:30pm - 7:30pm - Troy Hawke - Sigmund Troy’d 

Troy Hawke is the brainchild character of multi award wining festival favourite Milo McCabe.

8:15pm - 10:00pm - Loyiso Gola - Pop Culture (Full tour show) 

With over 1 million Twitter followers, South African Comedian Loyiso Gola has featured on Live at the Apollo, Comedy Central, and had his own Netflix stand up special. This new show is currently touring nationwide in a major theatres. 

 

Saturday October 9th

 

11am - 12pm - The Discount Comedy Checkout Family Improv Show

Leeds based improvised comedy group who cater comedy for the entire family. They can turn any suggestion, character, scenario into a very funny and entirely improvised show. The kids are also encouraged to get involved.

 

1pm - 2pm - Jeddy Bear & Gary’s Picnic - Family Show

Nominated for ‘Best Kids Show’ at the Leicester Comedy Festival, great messy fun for the entire family… don’t forget to bring your teddy bear.

 

6:30pm - 7:30pm -  Tony Law - A Now Begin In Again

Canadian absurdist comedian Tony Law has featured on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Russell Howard’s Good News, and Have I Got News For You. Expect the unexpected with Tony’s new show. 

 

8:15pm - 9:15pm - Danny Posthill - That Bloke Who Does Voices

North East impressionist and comedian Danny Posthill got to the Final of Britain’s Got Talent with his fantastic celebrity Impressions. Prepare to be amazed with his spot on impressions.

 

10pm - 11pm - Roisin & Chiara - Back to Back

“SENSUAL, SPIRITUAL, BAFFLING, STAGGERING...HILARIOUSLY UNPREDICTABLE”

Multi award winning double act Roisin & Chiara bring their beautiful surreal silliness to stage in Leeds. 

 

Sunday October 10th

 

5pm - 6pm - Scaredy Kat aka Alex Cubb

As seen on RuPauls Drag Race, Scaredy Kat will be adding some musical glamour to the festival.

 

6:30pm - 7:30pm - Ignacio Lopez - Spain’s Best Export

Spain’s best export, Ignacio Lopez (as seen on BBC Sesh), slams Spanish and British culture in a relentlessly funny show about holidays, food and childhood. An armada of sarcasm, silliness and songs!

 

8pm - 9pm - Esther Manito - #NotAllMen

Winner of Best Show at The 2021 Leicester Comedy Festival, Esther Manito is one of the biggest rising stars on the comedy circuit.

 

 

10pm - 11pm - Red Richardson - Delightfully Sardonic

Regular joke writer for ‘8 out of Ten Cats’, ‘8 out of Ten Cats does Countdown’ and ‘Live at The Comedy Store’ on Comedy Central, Red is a critically acclaimed stand up comedian, writer, actor and podcaster and is now recognised as one of the most exciting new comics in The UK.

Middlesbrough comedian, podcaster, and online sensation Ted Hanky brings his debut show ‘Secrets of The Side Mouth’ to Stage for the first time as he shares his recent lockdown experiences of dealing with online selling site fools, joining new clubs and societies, buying rubbish off online, TikTok, and more importantly …. the secrets of the side mouth. 

 

8:30pm - 9:30pm - Fran Garrity - 50/Fifty

Following two previous sell out shows- 'Secret Agent Fran' & 'Faith Hope and Garrity' chances are this show will be 3rd time lucky! Join Fran as he recalls hilarious stories of choices, chances, risks and the belief in probability.

Fran is another local Teesside Comedian who has supported Jason Manford on tour.

 

10pm - 11pm - John & Vaun - Come On My Sofa

John O’Sullivan failed TV host from the noughties, who’s exploits meant he was blacklisted by every tv company, is on the come back trail assisted by various characters created by Vaun Earl Norman (Vic and Bob’s Big Night Out). John tries to bring a “sophisticated” chat show to the comedy world. Is the world ready?

The show also guest stars local YouTube Sensation Tiana Leigh.
