Richard Osman's House of Games Guests This Week

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Jodie Kidd, Jamali Maddix and Suzi Perry take on a series of quiz rounds selected by the host, quiz legend Richard Osman.

A daily winner is declared following a quick-fire round at the end of each show, and the scores are tallied across the week, resulting in an overall champion being crowned on Friday.

Ilford-born comedian Maddix is becoming something of a TV regular. In recent years he has appeared on Taskmaster, This Is My House, Drunk History: Black Stories and is due to be a regular on the rebooted Never Mind The Buzzcocks when it comes to Sky hosted by Greg Davies.

He is also setting put on a new tour in 2021. Details here.

Jamali Maddix broke records with his debut documentary series Hate Thy Neighbour in 2017, which, broadcasting on VICELAND, became the channel’s highest rated show globally. The series saw Jamali navigate America’s deepest south and roughest prisons, explore rising racial tensions in Britain and Europe and anti-assimilation groups in Israel interspersed with honest narration in the form of his cutting-edge stand-up; “I’m not qualified for this role I’ll be honest with you…. I am just a comedian”. Returning for a second run for the following year, Jamali travelled back to the states focusing on demonstrations by pro-lifer groups, vigilante border patrols and third-wave feminists.

Comedians have an excellent track record on House of Games. Last year Angela Barnes smashed the record books and became the first comestant to win all five editions. Mae Martin won House of Games in a memorable tussle where Patsy Kensit joked that she was going to kill her agent for getting her on the show.

And continuing the run, Olga Koch triumphed in the first show in the new series last week.

Will the latest winning star opt for the much-coveted House of Games decanter, or will they be tempted by the House of Games kitchen composter?

Richard Osman's House of Games, Mon - Fri, BBC Two, 6pm.
