Nick Helm is one of the stars of a new movie, Love Spreads, about the trials and tribulations of a female rock band making their new album. Helm plays their long-suffering, stressed out manager.

The film, directed by Jamie Adams, is set to be screened at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival in New York. 

It also stars Alia Shawkat, Eiza Gonzales, Chanel Cresswell, Nick Helm, Tara Lee, Dolly Wells, Charlotte Jo Hanbury and Ruth Ollman.

Helm tweeted: "I’m in a film called Love Spreads that premiered at the @Tribeca Film Festival this week. It’s got some real superstars in it & is getting some nice reviews. It’s out in selected US cinemas on Friday & I’ll keep you posted about a UK release…"

A review on the Thunderscene website says that Helm is one of the highlights of the movie: "The true standout of the film is Nick Helm as the stressed band manager. The way he is able to make himself so small when it is clear that he is overwhelmed, his quiet moments, his quirks, everything brings this film to another level every time he is on screen."

The film is due to be released in america this summer. No UK release date has been confirmed yet.
