Broadcast Date For Rose Matafeo's Starstruck

The brand new 6-part romcom Starstruck, created, written by and starring Edinburgh Comedy Award winning comedian, writer and actor Rose Matafeo (Baby Done, Taskmaster) is set to launch on BBC One at 10:40pm on Monday 26th April, with the entire box set landing on BBC Three on Sunday 25th April.

Co-written by Rose Matafeo and Alice Snedden, Starstruck follows Jessie (Rose Matafeo), a millennial living in East London juggling two dead end jobs and navigating the awkward morning-after-the-night-before when she discovers the complications of accidentally sleeping with famous film star Tom (Nikesh Patel; Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hulu; Indian Summers, Channel 4).

What she thought would become an amusing anecdote soon turns into something more, as the couple realise they can’t keep away from each other. Jessie’s world couldn’t be further from Tom’s, working multiple jobs to afford her overpriced flat she shares with her best friend, Kate (Emma Sidi; Pls Like, BBC Three; King Gary, BBC One).

Despite her doubts and his fame, their connection brings them together to try to navigate a possible relationship under less than ordinary circumstances.

Rose Matafeo’s Starstruck is available on BBC Three on the BBC iPlayer from Sunday 25th April, and airs from 10:40pm Monday 26th April on BBC One
