News: Would I Lie To You? Guests Tonight

Would I Lie To You? settles snugly into its new Monday night slot with another superb line-up of Joel Dommett, Alex Horne, presenter AJ Odudu and Sindhu Vee (pictured).

Plus, of course, host Rob Brydon and panel beaters David Mitchell and Not Going Out's Lee Mack.

It'll be interesting to see Taskmaster boffin Alex Horne in a different context. He doesn't seem to do that many panel shows but as anyone who has seen any of his live shows will know, he is very good at telling stories. But can he tell fake stories as well as he can tell true stories?

Stand-up Sindhu Vee is another person who looks like a convincing storyteller. If you like her schtick you can also see her on Richard Osman's House of Games every weeknight this week at 6pm on BBC Two.

And Joel Dommett, fresh from The Masked Singer, might be gld of appearing on a show where things might feel a little bit more normal, even if there is still a big element of true or false going on here.

The show is on good form at the moment after Bob Mortimer's recent appearance when he told a story about how he helped Damon Hill to win a Grand Prix thanks to the judicious use of a "pocket meat" Scotch Egg. Mortimer of course has previous when it comes to celebrities and eggs. He previously told a story of how Chris Rea had advised him to crack an egg into his bath.

"I'm not a Formula One fan. I probably prefer soil science," he added.

It has, however come to light that Mortimer has hinted at this yarn before. In 2014 he tweeted: "I gave Damon hill a scotch egg to put in his car just before the Silverstone GP..He left it in his bus." #CelebritiesMundaneCelebrityAnecdotes

Update 15/2: the news was announced today that I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue writer Iain Pattinson has died. He also used to write for Would I Lie To You?

Would I Lie To You?, Mondays, 8.30pm, BBC One.
