Edinburgh Fringe Review – Josh Jones, Gobsmacked, Pleasance Courtyard

Mancunian comic Josh Jones broke through in Edinburgh last year, picking up an Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nomination for his debut, Waste Of Space. Interview: Josh Jones

Mancunian stand-up Josh Jones is a comedic breath of feelgood fresh air. Where other comics can be dour he is cheerful, a ray of sunshine looking on the bright side of life. And it is paying off. Last year the rising star was nominated for Best Newcomer in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

He has been breaking through on TV too, with notable appearances on programmes including The Jonathan Ross Show, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Iain Stirling’s CelebAbility.

Fast Food Face Off Comes To BBC

Stand Up comedian Josh Jones loves to eat amazing food but, because of a busy work and travel schedule, he usually ends up living off takeaways. That doesn’t mean his taste buds have to be disappointed though – oh no – he likes his fast food to be fancy. And he likes it to be served with a healthy portion of drama.

This one-off programme is a showdown set in Northern Ireland where he pits two of the tastiest takeaways in town against each other.
