Daliso Chaponda Becomes Charity Ambassador

London-based charity, Think Malawi, has announced its first-ever celebrity ambassador in the shape of Malawian stand-up comedian and Britain’s Got Talent Finalist, Daliso Chaponda.

 

Daliso, who has over 300 million views of his stand up online and who writes and hosts his own series for Radio 4, ‘Citizen of Nowhere’, is keen to support Think Malawi’s efforts to help children in Malawi complete their education:

New Tour For Daliso Chaponda

Malawian born stand up Daliso Chaponda has announced a UK tour with a brand new show entitled ‘Apocalypse Not Now’.  The tour starts on  30th July at Leeds Wardrobe and culminates next May. Daliso has performed all over the world, including two previous UK tours and at the Edinburgh, Melbourne, Singapore and Cape Town comedy festivals.

Daliso Chaponda has announced a UK tour starting in 2019 and taking in 36 dates after premiering at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  The tour entitled ‘Blah Blah Blacklist’ starts on 19th September at Darwen’s Library Theatre and culminates on 15th March at Salford’s Lowry.

News: Daliso Chaponda Films Show For Release And Extends Tour

Comedian Daliso Chaponda is to film his live show What The African Said. The recording will take place at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford on June 1.

The UK-based comedian who came third on Britain's Got Talent last year is enjoying huge success at the moment with his live shows and his Radio 4 series, Citizen Of Nowhere, which finished this week.

Footage of his stand-up performances on YouTube have notched up over 100 million views.

Britain’s Got Talent star Daliso Chaponda has added an extra 21 dates around the UK to his debut tour due to exceptional demand.

His ‘What The African Said…’ tour now takes in 51 dates across the UK starting on February 8 at Nottingham’s Glee Club and now finishing at Middlesbrough Town Hall on June 9.

Comedian Daliso Chaponda has come third in this year's Britain's Got Talent Final.

The Manchester-based Malawian said "this has been life-changing, amazing."

The winner was pianist Tokio Myers. He gets a gig at the Royal Variety Performance and £250,000.

Second place went to magician Izzy Simpson.
