The Glasgow International Comedy Festival has officially announced the shortlisted nominees for the inaugural Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award which will be presented at the Festival’s Closing Gala held at the King’s Theatre on Sunday 2nd April.
The independent panel met on Wednesday 29th March to consider the nominations and are proud to announce the shortlisted nominees who they believe most personifies the Spirit of Glasgow.
The world has become a brighter place with the release of the Spring 2023 edition of Billy Connolly’s Born on a Rainy Day collection, available exclusively from Castle Fine Art from 23 March.
The six new limited-edition pieces are initially available as framed and unframed portfolios, hand-signed by The Big Yin himself and are presented on 100% cotton deckle-edged paper, float-mounted in black painted and silver foiled pine frames.
Gold has commissioned two three-part specials of hit show Billy Connolly Does…, following the success of series one which aired in March 2022.
