Comedian, actor, director, writer and producer Chris Rock has announced his highly anticipated return to live comedy in the UK with his Ego Death World Tour 2022. This is his first U.K. tour in 5 years and he’s set to hit Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall. Produced by Live Nation, the exclusive arena run kicks off Thursday May 12 in London before travelling to U.K. and closing in Manchester on Sunday 15 May. This is the show that you won't have seen dodgy, wobbly clips of on YouTube. Despite it having a different title, Tamborine, directed by Bo Burnham and filmed at the classy Brooklyn Academy of Music, is pretty much the show Rock performed in the UK recently as part of his Total Blackout tour when mobile phones were – praise be – locked away in pouches during the gigs. And while Rock might not have the anger of his Bring The Pain youth any more, it confirms that he is definitely one of stand-up's greats.

The stand-up superstar avoided getting stuck in traffic by taking the London Underground Jubilee Line from Central London to North Greenwich. He was joined by fellow comedians Jeffrey Ross, Michelle Wolf, Anthony Jeselnick and journalist Nelson George. Superstar comedian Chris Rock warmed up for the Australian leg of his Total Blackout world tour by surprising punters in a comedy club with an impromptu appearance.
The night before his major gig at the 8000-capacity Perth Arena Rock pitched up at a comedy night at the Charles hotel, where for their $20 ticket 150 comedy fans were treated to a set from the iconic stand-up.
Chris Rock has announced UK dates for his Total Blackout Tour. The tour starts on Thursday 11 January 2018 and will visit cities across the UK including Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Glasgow and Birmingham before finishing in London with a gig at SSE Wembley Arena on January 26 and then two nights at the 02 Arena on January 27 & 28.
