News: Change Of Line-Up for BBC New Comedy Award Final 2017

Due to a family emergency Yumna Mohamed has had to pull out of this year's BBC New Comedy Award Final on Sunday.

Mohamed said: "Unfortunately a family emergency has meant that I have had to fly back to South Africa at short notice. This really was the best comedy competition experience I have had, and I was very proud to get into the final. However I have to make this difficult decision and wish my fellow finalists the best of luck.'

After careful consideration, head judge and BBC Studio’s Executive Editor for Radio Comedy Julia McKenzie has selected Morgan Rees as a wildcard finalist from the remaining contestants. Rees will join Aaron Simmonds, Sikisa, Andy Field, Heidi Regan and Jacob Hawley at the final this Sunday.
