Update 19/6/16: Verdict here.
Former England footballer Paul Gascoigne has appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court today, where he has pleaded not guilty to a racially aggravated offence.
He will stand trial at the same court on September 19, accused of making offensive comments onstage. He is alleged to have used abusive or insulting words, causing racially aggravated harassment and alarm, during his appearance at Wolverhampton's Civic Hall last year, entitled An Evening With Gazza.
Before going into the court the 49-year-old signed autographs for fans.
