Reports are coming in that Bob Mortimer is recovering in hospital after having triple heart bypass surgery.
The Middlesbrough comedian's 25th anniversary Poignant Moments tour with Vic Reeves was due to start in a fortnight but early dates have now been postponed until 2016. Ticket holders for dates between November 8 & December 4 are advised to contact the place where they purchased their tickets for further information.
It was a scheduled operation, with Mortimer, 56, being admitted to hospital on Monday night. He has been visited by family and close friends. In a story in the Mirror Vic Reeves is reported to have told the newspaper: “I’m so pleased the operation has gone well and Bob is fixed. Many thanks to the surgeon.”
Mortimer was tweeting before he went into hospital to promote Matt Berry's latest iPlayer short comedy, which he co-wrote. Review here.
