Preview: Inside No 9: The Understudy, BBC2

A striking return to form for Inside No 9 this week with The Understudy, which is not set in a house for once, but in dressing room number 9. Reece Shearsmith is his understudy, biding his time quietly for his big break.

Opinion: Would The BBC Be Cuckoo To Say Nighty Night to BBC3?

When I heard the news that there was talk of BBC3 being axed to save the corporation £90 million per year my immediate thought was 'here we go again, more corporate codswallop like the thing about axing BBC6'. BBC3 has given us some great comedy over the years, from Little Britain and The Mighty Boosh to Nighty Night, Pulling and, most recently, Uncle. How could the BBC possible entertain even the slightest thought of turning off the channel.

Preview: The Week Ahead March 3 - 9

It's an unusually quiet week for comedy in London, giving fans and critics a chance to save their strength for some big arrivals in a couple of weeks such as Jack Whitehall, Miranda Hart and Russell Howard. The pick of the bunch at the Soho Theatre is Brett Goldstein's autobiographical Contains Scenes of an Adult Nature, which runs from March 3 - 8.
