Channel 4 is launching a new youth-facing sibling channel to E4 called E4 Extra, which will occupy the EPG slot currently held by 4Music (Freeview 31, Virgin 337, Sky 139, Freesat 181 and YouView 31).

The Short Com TV Sitcom Writing Competition 2022 Opens For Submissions

The BIFA qualifying film festival Short Com is pumped to announce that their TV Sitcom Writing Competition has returned for the third year in a row; with a brand new line-up of judges to assess the final shortlisted writers. The competition aims to discover new comedy writing talent and connect them to the industry. And they also have a new cash prize of £500 for the overall winner along with some goodies from BCG Pro.

London’s newest comedy club has announced they are doubling their number of shows - adding previews on a Monday as well as an early and late show on a Thursday from 24 March.
 
The West End Comedy Club has been running on a Tuesday and Wednesday night since August 2021.

Earlier this week I was checking my diary to see what comedy gigs were coming up later this month. Before Christmas a lot of shows had been cancelled or postponed but January still looked pretty busy so I was very excited about the prospect of seeing some top quality stand-up.

New to BBC One Northern Ireland will be the comedy sketch show Dry Your Eyes, on Monday 10 January on BBC One Northern Ireland at 10.35pm.
