News: Third Latitude Headliner Announced

Kevin Bridges

Kevin Bridges had been announced today as the third headliner in the Comedy Arena at this year's Latitude Festival. The Glaswegian stand-up joins Dara O'Briain and Simon Amstell as bill topper for the annual open air arts event in Henham, Suffolk, which runs from July 17 - 20. Further comedy additions include Sam Simmons, Late Night Gimp Fight and winner of the recent Musical Comedy Awards David Elms. Bridges is the final comedy act on Saturday.

Bridges has just been appearing in Australia where he performed in Sydney and Perth and at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. At only 27 Kevin Bridges is already Scotland's biggest comedy export. Dubbed as “brilliant” by fellow comedian and Scot Billy Connolly, Kevin first made his debut at The Edinburgh Playhouse on BBC1's Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow in 2009. Overnight success followed with Kevin selling out his run at the Edinburgh Festival in just a day. His autumn 2012 tour, Kevin Bridges – The Story Continues…, smashed box office records for opening day ticket sales, selling a staggering 45,000 tickets on the first day. Kevin went on to sell out an incredible nine-show run at the Glasgow SECC Arena.

He also appears in London on May 16 as part of the annual C4 Comedy Gala at the O2 Arena. The Latitude Festival offers UK fans the rare opportunity to see Bridges in a relatively intimate setting. Musical headliners include the Black Keys and Damon Albarn. To buy tickets click on the Latitude advert at the top of this page. Daily tickets and weekend tickets are available.
