News: All-Star Sean Hughes Night Announced In Aid Of Charity

Adam Hills, Reece Shearsmith, Terry Alderton, Ben Bailey Smith, Dave Cohen, Dave Fulton and John Hegley are among the stars set to take part in a special night marking what would have been Sean Hughes' 54th birthday.

It's (Still) What He Would've Wanted, taking place at Soho Theatre on Sunday, November 10, by kind permission of the Sean Hughes estate, will be a night of prose and poetry to celebrate the life of Sean Hughes who died on October 16, 2017, aged 51. 

Performers and musicians will perform a selection of the late actor and comedian's poetry and prose in aid of the charity Shelter.

Hosted by comedian Adam Hills, also reading Sean’s written work will be actors Connie Hyde, Ella Kennion and Caroline Harker plus musician and singer David Gedge, founder of The Wedding Present.

On the same day BBC Radio 4 Extra will broadcast Sean's last recorded stand up show. Sean’s Last Show was produced by Sean's long-time collaborator Billy McGrath for Sideline Productions at The Project Arts Centre in Dublin and broadcast on RTE Radio 1 in December 2016.
