Streaming service Netflix is facing criticism for dropping an episode of it's latest stand-up series following complaints from the Saudi Arabian government.
Patriot Act With Hasan Minhaj has been dropped in Saudia Arabia to comply with local anti-cybercrime laws. According to reports his follows a complaint from the country’s Communications and Information Technology Commission which relates to Minhaj’s routine about the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Arabian consulate in Turkey in October.
The Daily Show comic joked about Saudi Arabia’s various claims around the circumstances of Khashoggi's death. Following initial claims that he died in a fist fight the country later said Khashoggi was killed inside the consulate by a rogue intelligence officer.
