Craft of Comedy UK is the annual seaside gathering of comedy professionals from across the country at Venue Cymru in Llandudno. Writers, performers, producers and commissioners gather for screenings, workshops, informal networking and to talk comedy. 2018’s event takes place on Friday 15th June and Saturday 16th June.

Speakers already confirmed for this year's event include Al Murray, The Cast of Dead Ringers, Neil Innes, Saskia Schuster, Sian Harries, Mark Watson, Sioned Wiliam, Dave Cohen, James Carey, David Schneider, Kay Stonham, Ged Parsons and many more. 

This year the conference is giving new writers or performers a fantastic opportunity: a free ticket to come to the conference to meet professionals and other aspiring newcomers.

Choose either:

SITCOM (tv or radio) and send the first 10 pages (Word or PDF, double spaced) or SKETCH and send 3 short sketches (written or performed & recorded/uploaded on YouTube)

Artistic Director of the weekend, Steve Doherty said: “We’re looking to give a leg up to the next generation of comedy writers and performers. In one of the most competitive fields to work in...a competition seemed the obvious way to do it!”

The winner will receive one complimentary ticket (or a pair in the case of bona fide writing teams/double acts) to Craft of Comedy UK 2018 on June 15 & 16 at Venue Cymru, Llandudno. The prize does not include travel or accommodation.
