Susan Calman has survived the Strictly Come Dancing vote and will be back next week.
The lawyer-turned-comedian and partner Kevin Clifton went Game of Thrones on the latest round of Strictly Come Dancing, doing the foxtrot to Killer Queen. Susan Calman dressed as Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen, Kevin Clifton dressed as Jon Snow.
The judges were not entirely convinced. Shirley Ballas said "it lacked grace."
Craig Revel Horwood quipped: "I thought my ride-on mower at home had more grace and elegance."
Bruno Tolioli said: "I loved the madness of it all."
Darcey Bussell said that the Scottish comedian's own personality came through too much.
Calman had scored only 18 points, putting her in danger of not making it into next week's show. Only Simon Rimmer got a lower score from the judges, getting 16 points.
Before her performance she received a good luck message from Mother of Dragons herself, Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen. In the video message Clarke said: “Susan. My sources tell me that you are playing the Mother of Dragons this week on Strictly Come Dancing. As the Mother of Dragons myself, I wanted to wish you luck, because you are my favourite. You and adorable Kevin, I want to win. My dragons and I will be watching, waiting patiently to see you win Strictly Come Dancing. I believe in you, Susan. You go get ’em!”
Calman replied: “I just got a message from Daenerys Targaryen herself. Seriously. It’s actually her *swoons*”.
Simon Rimmer, who got the lowest votes on Saturday night, was in the dance-off against Mollie King and was voted out.
