News: Is There A Doctor In The House? Luckily Yes. Onstage.

Comedian and junior doctor Ed Patrick had to pause his show to attend to a collapsed audience member.

On Wednesday during his talk show Comedians' Surgery, in which guest comics discuss their real life health problems, there was a panicked shout from the floor which brought proceedings to a halt. A member of the audience had collapsed, so Ed Patrick and a nurse who was in the crowd provided emergency assistance as an ambulance was called. Happily the woman quickly recovered with no apparent serious damage and the hospital trip was cancelled. Crisis over, Ed and guest stars Tez Ilyas and Mickey Overman were able to return to the stage and continue their discussion of alopecia and urinary infections.

Comedians' Surgery is at Just The Tonic @ The Caves. More details here.
