Interview: Rarely Asked Questions – Todd Barry: Page 2 of 2

6. What do your parents/children (delete as applicable) think of your job?

I’m a massive superstar, so they have to be happy about that.

7. What’s the worst thing about being a comedian?

Figuring out how to spend all the money!

8. I think you are very good at what you do (that’s why I’m asking these questions). What do you think of you?

You think I’m very good? Well thanks in advance for the five star review!

9. How much do you earn and how much would you like to earn?

I make $30 million a year, but I’d be more relaxed if it were $31 million.

10. How important is luck in terms of career success – have you had lucky breaks?

Oh, we’re getting serious now?

11. Alan Davies has said that comedians fall into two categories - golfers and self-harmers. The former just get on with life, the latter are tortured artists. Which are you – or do you think you fit into a third category?

I’m not a golfer, so I guess that makes me a sad, tortured man! Thanks for that Alan!

12. Who is your favourite person ever and why – not including family or friends or other comedians?

Bono. Oh wait, you said not including friends.

13. Do you keep your drawers tidy and if not why not?

I can’t tell if you’re talking about my pants, or the drawers where I keep my pants. This question is too confusing.
