News: Showstopper! And Mark Gatiss Win Olivier Awards

Showstopper! The Improvised Musical has won the Best Entertainment and Family Show at the Olivier Awards tonight.

The improvised show featuring Dylan Emery, Pippa Evans, Adam Meggido, Justin Brett, Andrew Pugsley, Sarah-Louise Young, Ruth Bratt, Susan Harrison. Sean McCann, Phillip Pellew, Oliver Senton and Lucy Trodd had a West End run last autum and is still on now.

Elsewhere Mark Gatiss won Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Three Days in the Country at the National Theatre. Hangmen, which starred Gatiss' League of Gentlemen co-star Reece Shearsmith when it opened at the Royal Court, won Best New Play.
