News: Peter Kay Launches New Online Series In Blackpool

Update 1pm, 3/3: The first gig has now sold out and a second one has been added on Friday, March 27. Tickets available now here.

Peter Kay will be launching his new BBC series Car Share with a fundraiser at the Blackpool Opera House on Saturday 28th March. Money raised will go to the Derian House Children's Hospice.

Car Share is the comedian’s first television series for eleven years and all six episodes will premiered exclusively in the Winter Gardens auditorium. Kay will be there himself to introduce the screening. The plan is for the series to be released exclusively on BBC iPlayer before being broadcast on BBC1 at a later date.

The plot revolves around a supermarket starting a new car sharing scheme for its staff. Assistant manager John Redmond (Peter Kay) and promotions rep Kayleigh Kitson (Sian Gibson) are forced to commute together every day. But will they get along? And what will they talk about on their journeys together.
