Two Huge American Shows For Ricky Gervais

Award winning comedian, actor, writer, and director Ricky Gervais announced 2 US dates, hitting Los Angeles and New York next year. Produced by Live Nation, Ricky Gervais: Armageddon will take place in Los Angeles, CA at Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, May 6th and in New York, NY on Friday, June 30th at Radio City Music Hall.

His 2021 tour SuperNature was a huge success and subsequently became the most watched comedy special on Netflix when it aired earlier this year.

“Ricky Gervais is Britain’s biggest comedian. He sells out arenas around the world,” said Ian Coburn, Live Nation.

“When I was invited to play the iconic Hollywood Bowl, I said “What if it rains?” This pretty much sums up how British people think,” said Gervais.

TICKETS: Tickets will go on sale starting Friday, December 9th at 10am local time at ticketmaster.com with a portion of the profits being donated to charity, as Gervais has done with his previous tours.

Creator and star of ‘The Office’ and ‘Extras’, Ricky Gervais has won three Golden Globes®, two Primetime Emmys® and seven BAFTAS. ‘The Office’ is the most successful British comedy of all time, shown in more than 90 countries with seven remakes. The NBC version is the most successful US remake of a British show in more than 30 years.

Gervais is an award-winning stand-up comedian, with six international tours to date. His live stand up show ‘Fame’ became the fastest selling UK stand-up show in history.

He can most recently be seen in his Netflix stand up special “SuperNature”, which premiered in May 2022. He also starred in the dark comedy “After Life,” which he created, directed and executive produced. The series premiered to rave reviews and fan response in 2019, and returned for an equally lauded second season in April 2020. The third and final season premiered in January 2022, also to high acclaim.

Gervais was first asked to host the Golden Globes® awards ceremony in 2010, making him the first host of the Golden Globes® since 1995. The broadcast was seen by an estimated 250 million viewers. Gervais has since hosted the Golden Globes® in 2011, 2012, and 2016 prior to his most recent appearance as host for the 5th time in 2020.

Gervais is also featured in The Guinness Book of World Records for having the most downloaded internet show of all time. He has written, directed, produced and starred in ‘Cemetery Junction’, ‘The Invention of Lying’, and starred in ‘Ghost Town.’ In 2010, Gervais was named in TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World and awarded the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award from the Banff World Television Festival.
