Jonathan Ross Show Guests This Week

Jonathan Ross Show Guests This Week

Jonathan Ross is joined by Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone, two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, stars of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Martin Freeman and Danai Gurira, six-time premier league-winning footballer Rio Ferdinand, Strictly star Ellie Taylor and, fresh from her victory at the Mercury Prize Awards, Little Simz will be performing live in the studio.

Last week he had a pretty strong line-up including Rita Ora, everyone’s favourite father and son footballing duo Harry and Jamie Redknapp and Hollywood actor and singer Luke Evans. When that line-up was initially announced there was no comedian on it but then Sindhu Vee appeared on the show. Hopefully another stand-up will be added to this week's guest list.

Going right back to his early Channel 4 days fronting The Last Resort Ross has always been a champion of new comedians. His production company in the late eighties, Channel X, was behind putting Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer on TV in their Big Night Out and even if Ross never did anything else of note we should all be grateful for that. It's funny to think that Ross is now an elder statesman of the chat show genre and has been doing it for over thirty years.

In the meantime I'm particularly excited to see Martin Freeman on the show. He has certainly had a varied career since breaking through as Tim in the Office. From The Hobbit to Sherlock he is constantly surprising fans. He is also known as a pretty snappy dresser, adding a modern spin to the mod style.

Sylester Stallone is the Hollywood heavyweight on the show while Tyson Fury is the real-life boxing heavyweight. If they are both in the studio and on the sofa hopefully some sparks should fly. And Rio Ferdinand can certainly stand up for himself too.

The Jonathan Ross Show, Saturday, November 12, ITV1, 10pm.
